Fire Sprinkler System Types
Dry Pipe Fire Sprinkler Systems
Designed for unheated spaces, these systems use pressurized air to hold water back until activation, preventing pipes from freezing.
Wet Pipe Fire Sprinkler Systems
The most common system type, filled with water at all times for immediate discharge when a sprinkler activates.
Pre-Action Fire Sprinkler Systems
A dual-trigger system requiring detection (like smoke/heat) before water enters the piping, reducing risk of accidental discharge in sensitive environments.
In-Rack Fire Sprinkler Systems
Installed within storage racks to provide targeted fire protection for high-piled storage and improve suppression at the seat of the fire.
Deluge Fire Sprinkler Systems
Uses open sprinkler heads that discharge water simultaneously when activated, ideal for high-hazard areas requiring rapid fire control.
Early Suppression Fast Response Fire Sprinkler Systems (ESFR)
High-performance systems designed to quickly suppress fires (not just control them), commonly used in warehouses to eliminate the need for in-rack sprinklers.
Quell Fire Sprinkler Systems
Advanced, FM-approved suppression systems engineered for high-challenge storage hazards, offering enhanced performance over traditional ESFR designs.
Vortex Fire Sprinkler Systems
Hybrid systems that combine water and inert gas to suppress fires using minimal water, reducing potential damage to equipment and assets.
CO₂ Fire Suppression Systems
Uses carbon dioxide to displace oxygen and quickly extinguish fires in enclosed spaces, typically for industrial or high-value applications.
Foam/Chemical Suppression Systems
Deploys foam or chemical agents to suppress flammable liquid fires by smothering the fuel source and preventing re-ignition.
Backflows
Devices installed in fire protection water supplies to prevent contaminated water from flowing back into the public water system, ensuring safety and compliance.
