1924 – Viking Automatic Sprinkler is Founded

Viking Automatic Sprinkler was established in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul area. In 2024, the company celebrated 100 years in business, marking a century of leadership in fire sprinkler and special hazards protection.

1927 – VFP Fire Systems is Founded

VFP Fire Systems began operations three years later and has specialized in protecting commercial, industrial, and residential properties across the United States for nearly a century.

1995 – Viking Fire Protection Group Joins APi Group

In 1995, Viking Fire Protection Group became part of APi Group, a global leader in life safety and specialty services founded in 1926. This partnership provided VFPG with the resources of a large organization while preserving the entrepreneurial spirit and customer-focused culture that define each operating company.

Landmark Sprinkler became part of Viking Fire Protection Group in 2016. Founded in 1987, Landmark Sprinkler grew from a four-person operation into one of Kentucky’s leading fire sprinkler contractors, serving customers throughout Louisville, Lexington, and surrounding areas.

2022 – Electric Scientific Fire Protection Joins VFPG

Electric Scientific Fire Protection joined Viking Fire Protection Group in 2022. Founded in 1970, Electric Scientific Fire Protection has specialized in protecting mission-critical environments with advanced fire suppression systems for data centers, telecommunications facilities, equipment rooms, process equipment, power plants, mining operations, hospitals, and other commercial and industrial applications where reliable fire protection is essential.

2024 – Kimble Fire Protection Joins VFPG

Kimble Fire Protection became part of Viking Fire Protection Group in 2024. Founded in 1984, Kimble has built a strong reputation for protecting businesses throughout Los Angeles County and Orange County with exceptional craftsmanship and service.

2024 – Absolute Fire Protection Joins VFPG

Absolute Fire Protection joined VFPG in 2024. Founded in 2006, Absolute Fire Protection expanded from a regional union sprinkler contractor into a trusted multi-state provider serving the Chicago metropolitan area and beyond.

2024 – High Sierra Fire Protection Joins VFPG

High Sierra Fire Protection became part of VFPG in 2024. Founded in 2018 and based in Reno, High Sierra provides fire protection services throughout Nevada and Northern California.

2025 – ESC Systems Joins VFPG

ESC Systems joined Viking Fire Protection Group in 2025. Founded in 1927 as Endresen Radio Service, the company evolved into Endresen Sound Company and expanded into commercial fire alarm systems, nurse call systems, and public address systems. For nearly a century, ESC Systems has provided trusted life safety solutions to schools, healthcare facilities, and commercial customers throughout northern Minnesota and Wisconsin.

2026 – Quality Fire Protection Joins VFPG

Quality Fire Protection joined Viking Fire Protection Group in 2026. Founded in 1999, Quality Fire Protection has delivered comprehensive fire protection solutions to customers across Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio.
